The Revolution Live Sunday Jazz Brunch is an ideal way to relax and enjoy Fort Lauderdale’s scenic Riverwalk. This free, live, outdoor concert series brings the area’s best local jazz artists. Listen to the music on three different stages on the first Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend, including well-behaved leashed pets. There is plenty of room to set up chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to experience the fabulous entertainment. Patrons can also stroll along the historic brick-lined walkway to enjoy live music while browsing items from local merchants and enjoying food from area restaurants.

Sunday Jazz Brunch is produced by the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department.

Affectionately known as the Gentleman of Salsa, Gilberto Santa Rosa is one of the most celebrated Latin music vocalists in the world for his musical elegance and style. With the ASCAP Latin Heritage Award, six Grammy Awards, four Latin Grammys and, most recently, Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Necesito un Bolero, he has the most #1 hits on Billboard's Tropical Albums Chart (with 12 in total!). Santa Rosa’s style of salsa has consistently entertained crowds since the 1980s with his energetic personality, vocal improvisational skills and refreshing sense of humor. Santa Rosa brings his tantalizing Latin flavors to our stage with salsa and bolero top hits such as "Que Alguien Me Diga" and "Por Más Que Intento." His latest album, “En Buena Compañía,” is an eclectic mix of Santa Rosa’s romantic style with harder-edge salsa.

The iconic group The Whispers have been recording and performing since the early sixties with classic hits Rock Steady, Keep on Loving Me and As the Beat Goes. Over 40 years of R&B and pop favorites later, spanning more than 3 dozen albums, the group has achieved numerous honors including 7 Gold Albums, 2 Platinum Albums, 12 Top Twenty Singles, 40 Charted Hits and numerous Grammy, American Music and Soul Train Award nominations. Stephanie Mills has an illustrious 35 year career that spans from studio recordings to live concerts to Broadway, with notable hits such as Home, The Power of Love, What You Gonna Do With My Loving. Rising to fame as “the little girl with the big voice” starring for 5 years in the hit Broadway musical, “The Wiz”, Stephanie Mills has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music.

Celebrate this month’s FAT Village Art Walk with a special edition of the Cocktails for Humanity pop-up bar benefitting the Historic Stranahan House Museum. “Cocktails for History” features an all-star lineup of community leaders volunteering as bartenders, 100 percent of the proceeds will support the historic preservation of the local landmark and help fund the Museum’s educational programs, including reduced-rate and free school programs for local students.

During the course, students learn about the different types of gin and the basic distillation procedure. Then they will create their own gin flavor and run through the 90-minute distillation process before bottling and labeling their custom gin. Gourmet bites and beverages will be available to purchase onsite. Live music and a tattoo artist will add another artistic dimension to this community event.

Admission to the New River Marketplace is free, however, guests are encouraged to take advantage of History Fort Lauderdale’s renowned tours and museums. General admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admission is free for members, military and children ages six and under.
